Flag Football

I think Logan's favorite sport thus far is football. He played at the same time as soccer, and we'll be sure to NOT do that again. He'll play soccer in the spring, baseball in the summer, and football in the fall (then basketball in late fall/early winter). Whew! We wanted him to try it all to see what he likes (everything is so competetive nowadays we didn't want him to want to start playing something in Junior High, and not be able to make a team since he'd never played before). How things have changed since I was in school! We were pretty disappointed in the overall football experience. I think Derek is going to try to coach next year. It was obviously a lot of kids' first time playing on a team, and NOTHING was explained clearly, esp. not the basics like, we line up like this, in a straight line; we do not move before the ball is snapped, we do NOT line up with the other team! - You know, those basics are pretty important! :) We're really glad Logan had fun (he was a lineman on offense and defense) since he really didn't get to do a lot.
